VINTAGE R-1051/URR COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVER RADIO MARS SYSTEM GENERAL DYNAMICS ?

Description

An old radio receiver. I have seen similar units manufactured by general dynamic/ bendix, but this one is not tagged, so please make your own call as to manufacturer.  Tagged as R-1051/urr receiver radio, 115v 1 /0 48-450 cycles , contract nobsr 89368 , serial B1535 , mfr 58189. There is also spot on the tag that says US, above it appears to be an eagle with 3 stars above it. Estate item, so it does show some soiling and wear. Powers on, needle move sometimes as center dial is turned. Turn a know on the bottom row, and you can hear the unit do something inside. Comes in a rack mountable case, that the unit slides in and out of. Sold AS IS ,NO RETURNS, functionality beyond powering on is unknown. It appears to of been taken very good care of, so I would assume it will work with very little if any repairs, but as stated functionality is unknown and unit is AS IS. This is an extremely heavy unit at 70 lbs, so I am listing it as pickup only. At Monmouth Iowa. I would be willing to meet someone up to a couple hundred miles for .55 mile for only one direction(so no paying for my return milage). I will probably be heading to Des Moines at the end of March, and I could meet there for no cost. Pickups are cash ONLY, no pp payment when items are picked up.
