Original Handmade Glass Square Plate "Purple Rain"

Description

The key element of this plate is a wavy rectangle close to the center. Purple and mauve waved strips are "floating" inside clear body. The magic structure of these strips is clearly visible. In addition to the strips there are "bubbles" with similar strips inside. All together these strips and bubbles look like rain drops and bubbles in puddles. Purple rain, purple rain... It exists!
The mauve body with purple stripes enhances the feeling of purple rain.
To make this plate I pulled special cane from a vitrigraph - a kiln with a hole in the bottom. Then canes were and fused together.
The edges were ground and polished, so they look straight and shiny. The back side is perfectly matt. Finally the plate got its shape.
This plate is one of a kind and an original authors work.
The plate is food safe but it's not recommended to use a dishwasher or microwave.
