This is a heavy-duty stop, engineered for use with unistrut or similar strut system with 1 5/8" X 1 5/8" with 7/8" channel opening.  We suggest using B22 strut channel from Cooper, but we've found that other manufacturers offer this size of strut channel as well, including...

The plate and the adjustment bolt are supported by spring-loaded shoulder bolts: these help to accommodate for backlash when adjusting in the anticlockwise direction
The flip-away arm has a machined space, meant to accommodate a stick-on rail scale or tape measure
A Flip-Away Stop can be configured in right-of-blade or left-of-blade applications.  (Since the product ships fully assembled--standard assembly is in a right-handed fashion--please be sure to email us if you are purchasing a Flip-Away Strut Stop but would like it assembled in the opposite orientation from the main picture of this ad)
Note: since the stop can easily flip out of the way after clamping, our stop can skirt the pesky issue of blade binding while using dead stops: instead of settling for blade binding, simply clamp the material securely on the opposite side of the blade from the stop, and then flip the stop up and away from the stress before you cut your piece.  Your stop remains ready to reacquire your cutting coordinate, your newly cut piece suffers no marring or disfigurement, and your blade suffers from no undue wear and tear.
We can appreciate the versatility and value of this product in the small scale--much less in large production manufacturing--and we feel this can be a nearly invaluable addition to the cutting process even if you aren't the floor manager at a large production company.  Let’s be serious: in today’s economy, we know that there is a lot of moonlighting going on.  After a day of work, people need to come home and work some more.  We believe that the Flip-Away is the best bang for the buck for people that want to make a go of it and still keep some time for the rest of their lives.  In fact, we began as a company of moonlighters.  Many of our operators were and continue to be professionals in their fields, but innovations such as the Micro-Adjustable Flip-Away Strut Stop help us to remain relevant in the increasingly competitive fabrication market.  Also, not everyone can afford to ramp up to automation; most of us need every chance we can get to stave off that kind of financial burden.
